First question: which roach?

In Ocoee you'll meet two main roaches, and they need opposite treatments. Palmetto bugs (American cockroaches) are the big outdoor ones that wander in — a perimeter and exclusion problem. German roaches are the small indoor ones that infest kitchens — a baiting and sanitation program. Treat a German roach infestation like palmetto bugs and you'll still have roaches in six months.

Palmetto bug program

Seal the entries: door sweeps, pipe gaps, garage seals, weep holes. Treat the perimeter and the outdoor harborage — mulch beds, sewers, tree holes, leaf litter. Reduce the moisture drawing them in. Indoor sightings after that are stragglers, not an infestation.

German roach program

This is a multi-visit program, and anyone promising one-visit elimination is selling something. We bait with products roaches carry back to the harborage, apply growth regulators that stop the next generation from breeding, treat cracks and crevices where they hide — behind the fridge, under the dishwasher, inside cabinet voids — and give you a sanitation checklist. Then we come back, because the egg cases hatching next month don't care about this month's treatment.

The rule that matters most

Don't spray German roaches with store-bought repellent sprays. It scatters them through the walls and makes professional baits less attractive by comparison. If you've already sprayed, tell us — we'll adjust the plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many visits does German roach elimination take?

Typically 3–4 visits over 2–3 months for a moderate infestation — enough to outlast the egg cycle. Heavy infestations take longer. We'll give you an honest estimate after inspection.

Do I need to empty my kitchen cabinets?

For the first German roach visit, usually not fully — but we'll give you a prep checklist. It typically involves clearing under-sink areas and pulling the fridge and stove out from the wall so we can treat behind them.

Can roaches come from my neighbors?

Yes, especially in apartments, condos, and townhomes — they travel through shared walls and plumbing chases. In that case we treat your unit thoroughly and coordinate what we can with the neighboring side.

Are palmetto bugs a sign my house is dirty?

No. They're outdoor insects that wander in through gaps — even spotless homes get them. German roaches are the ones tied to food and sanitation, and even those show up in clean homes via grocery bags, appliances, and neighboring units.
